Today I decided to start writing again after five years of empty head syndrome. I was working and I'm lucky my work needs minimum brain capacity because I had an Idea. Actually, I had two! Amazing. I could hear it in my head, what I'd write... And I swore I'd try to put it on paper. Well, technically not, since I do it on my computer. :D
I told my friend about my Ideas and she thought they sounded good. I've been trying to write for the last two hours but: NOTHING. Nothing comes out. Where did my Ideas go? I just can't start it. I know that if I just get a decent start, the rest will come eventually. I do feel a little uncertain about my abilities since it's been so long and I don't know if I have any talent at all. Now I feel like crap because I thought I really had something I wanted to write. I don't know if anyone will even read it since I'm not very active on FF.net, but I really hope someone will give me good (and I don't mean just positive, but something useful) feedback because I sure as hell will need it if I want to get better. Now I'll end this rant and TRY to write my super cool and awesome (yeah right) Ideas down.

ReplyDeleteI also love your profile picture by the way. I've got a friend who is a fashion designer (with her own boutique) and I'm in awe of her sense of style. Hopefully you'll be posting more show and tell here in future.
With regard to your writing, I can feel your pain when it comes to writers' block like that. Here's a question for you though - are you wanting to write a whole stories series? If that's what has you blocked, what's to stop you from writing a few short pieces first?
It's getting started that's the trick. Once you get past that initial hurdle you'll be okay. Be sure to tell me when you've posted something and I'll be straight over.
Thank you sweetie. :) It's polymer clay that I cut and shape with a knife and some random objects. I don't have a mold or anything. I think I will post some more pics of things I make. I kind of like sharing. :D The profile pic is my eye. :D I took it to show some make-up thing for a friend and I liked the colors and saved it for later use.
ReplyDeleteI thought I'd start with oneshots and maybe evolve from there. See how much I can write. Last night I wrote ~500 words, which isn't really much, but it's a start. And I'm not even close to getting the whole storyline out yet. I'm hopeful. :) I'm not sure if I can write a series, not yet anyway. No one's betaing for me so I'll have to find someone to proof read it for me before posting. Especially because English isn't my first language I need someone to correct me.
